Taxman Calling

An early umbrella for accounting and compliance tools that became the sediment layer beneath later Slenderscape regulation projects.

Aug 2026

Taxman Calling was an early front door for a family of accounting and compliance experiments. Rather than solving one narrow workflow, it explored what a modern software layer around Indian tax practice might feel like when documents, deadlines, filing work and client communication were treated as parts of one operating environment.

The project is archived, but its importance is genealogical. Several later ideas became clearer only after the umbrella was broken apart into more opinionated products.

What survived

See It Sort It inherited the document-handling problem. CA-OS inherited the practice-operations problem. Foresight inherited the desire to make regulation itself legible and anticipatory. The related obsession with ingesting messy real-world information, and making uncertainty visible rather than pretending the data is clean, runs through the later work too.

Taxman Calling therefore remains in the public archive as a record of the direction of travel rather than as an active destination.
