See It Sort It

A document-sorting system for chartered-accountancy practices, spanning local file watching, classification, compliance context and downstream workflow.

Mar – Aug 2026

See It Sort It explored one of the least glamorous but most persistent problems in professional practice: documents arrive in inconsistent forms, through inconsistent channels, with inconsistent names, and still have to become usable work.

The system combined a desktop watcher with a classification relay and practice-facing surfaces for billing and compliance. The ambition was not merely to rename files. It was to recognise enough context around a document that later workflows could begin from structured information instead of manual triage.

Why it matters in the archive

The project exposed how quickly “document sorting” expands into a larger operating-system problem. Classification is only useful if the result can feed reconciliation, filing, communication and review. That realisation pushed the work toward CA-OS and later toward more focused intelligence products.

Its archived status reflects consolidation rather than failure. The core ideas around ingestion, classification and provenance remain active elsewhere in the Slenderscape regulation stack.
